To ensure a competitive landscape for our players, Lyons Township Little League has implemented the following rules regarding player placement:
1.  T Ball players will be placed based on buddy requests, school attended, neighborhood residency, age and gender.  Siblings will always be on the same team (unless otherwise requested) and can also request buddies.  T Ball is an instructional division with no scores or statistics kept- there is no draft.
2.  There will be a draft for C, B, and A Ball in March to determine player placement.  Coaches, League Commissioners, and the League Player Agent will be in attendance.
3.  LTLL began compiling player evaluation data during the 2018 season to establish a holistic player rating for most players which will prove useful to coaches during the draft.
4.  For C Ball- Player's w/ buddy requests will be considered as "two-fers".  I.e., Player A and Player B are buddies.  Player A is drafted in the 3rd round.  The team forfeits its 4th round pick and Player B is pulled off the draft board.
5.  Each team starts the draft w/ a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach.  Each team must select both the Head and Assistant coach's child in Rounds 1 and 2 (so draft actually starts in Round 3).  Further Assistant Coaches can be pulled from the final roster.  This will prevent the chaining of coaches (i,e, having 5 Assistant Coaches tied to a single Head Coach)
6.  There is no buddy system for A and B Ball
