2026 LTLL Spring Season

WELCOME TO 2026 LTLL BASEBALL SEASON!

Lyons Township Little League Spring Baseball season is an exciting, instructional, and competitive league serving residents of Countryside, Pleasantdale Park District, Hodgkins, LaGrange Highlands, Indian Head Park, and parts of Western Springs and LaGrange. If you live within the boundaries of Ideal, Hodgkins, Highlands, or Pleasantdale Schools, you live in the boundaries for Lyons Township Little League, and you should sign up your child for this Little League! If you sign up out of your boundaries, the league president will contact you on how to register within your boundaries. Please make sure you sign up with your current address.

Practices begin in March. Games run from mid-April through mid-June. Our famous Home Run Derby and Social is after playoffs, and All-Star/District 9 teams will play in July.

NEW THIS SEASON:

We are excited to announce some changes to the levels of play to better serve our players in their development as baseball players. T-Ball is now 4- and 5-year-olds, C-Ball (Coach Pitch) is now Kindergarten and 1st Graders, and B-Ball (Beginner Pitch) is 2nd Graders. Minors (3rd and 4th Graders) and Majors (5th and 6th Graders) is unchanged. T-Ball will focus on intro to baseball skills without the need to hurry into coach pitch. Kindergarteners and 1st Graders will focus on building on the foundational skills and techniques of baseball in an environment where the coaches pitch to the players for the entire season. 2nd Graders will have the opportunity to pitch for a whole season instead of only half of the season. They are developmentally ready to pitch at this time. Our board really feels like these changes are in the best interest of player development and retention.
T-BALL and C-BALL COACHES CLINIC - Not comfortable with organizing or running a practice, would like tips on coaching youth players, well, we are excited to hold our first ever LTLL Coaches Clinic in March. This will be a great learning opportunity for coaches who are a little on the fence about being a head coach due to their experience. No coaching experience is required. We are looking for people who want to be involved in the development of youth baseball.
We are starting the games ONE WEEK EARLIER this year. There were a number of factors that went into this decision. Mainly, we wanted to build a week into the end of the season to reschedule rain outs. We are trying to prevent three games in a week if possible. Two other reasons were to not encroach too far into the summer and give all-star and district teams more time to practice before their respective tournaments.
T-ball and C-ball will now have a 1-to-1 buddy rule. A player may select 1 buddy. That buddy must request the other player. We do our best to group T-ball teams by school and location. C-ball has a draft, so there will be no exceptions to this 1-to-1 rule. We also cannot promise to honor all buddy requests due to the difficulty of creating fair and even teams. As usual, there are no buddy requests taken in consideration for creating B-Ball, Minors, and Majors teams. AFTER REGISTRATION CLOSES, WE CAN NO LONGER TAKE BUDDY REQUESTS.

DISCOUNTS:

1st time players receive $25 off enrollment.

The more the merrier- a $30 discount off each additional family member is applied after the first child.

Coaches and Board members also receive a $30 discount on enrollment.

IMPORTANT 2026 REGISTRATION DATES:

NEW in 2026 - $25 OFF Early Bird Registration is from December 1st to February 22nd.

Normal fee for registration February 23rd through March 1st.

Registration will close 3/1/26 so sign up now!

Providing supporting registration information is optional- the registration system is having a difficult time recognizing some Pre-Schools and Parochial schools that are in inside our boundaries.
