What is Little League® SAFE?
For nearly 30 years, Little League’s A Safety Awareness Program (ASAP) has set the standard for safety across local leagues, reducing injuries and strengthening volunteer readiness. Building on that success, Little League has launched two new initiatives, Little League SAFE and SAFE to Play.
Little League SAFE brings together trusted safety resources to help leagues provide a safe, positive, and consistent experience for players, volunteers, and families. Safety is a shared responsibility, and SAFE supports leagues in building a strong, informed approach to safety at every level of the game.
SAFE provides education, tools, and resources to help leagues build and maintain safer programs, while SAFE to Play establishes annual compliance requirements and a recognition structure that measures participation and rewards achievement.

As a part of Little League SAFE, each local little league has their own SAFE SUMMARY. Lyons Township Little League is committed to safety of all its members. To review our league specific summary, see link below. This takes the place of our ASAP Safety Manual handed out in previous seasons.

Any injuries that occur during little league activities where first aid is necessary require an accident report to be filed with our Safety Director, John Nitti within 24 hours of the incident.
